How I spent my day volunteering at ARK Animal Refuge Kansai

Let me tell you about the time I went to Osaka's Animal Shelter. It was a warm Autumn day. I headed out around nine in the morning to get a bit of a headstart to my day, knowing I have quite a journey ahead. A few days before that day, I couldn't help but think about the dogs I have back home in the Philippines and how much I missed them. Back then, my family and I had three dogs and one cat. Two of the dogs were strays that we took into our home when they were a puppy. With that train of thought, it gave me an idea to volunteer at any local animal shelter I could find that had dogs or any animals I could maybe pet or play. So I went online and looked for the nearest animal shelter I could find. Unfortunately, the "nearest" animal shelter I found was a long way away in the countryside of Kansai where not a lot of people live. I still decided I would go. After doing more research on how to get there, taking notes of the names of the places in Kanji, I prepared fo

My Blogger Name

When I was younger, I would play video games with my brother. During high school until college, it progressed into PC games where I would play with my classmates after school outside at the internet cafes. For gamers, before playing most online games, we would start by creating a character name. I've gone by many in-game names. My brother's previous in-game name was Azrael, and one day when I wanted to make a character in iDate, I asked my brother if he could give me an in-game name. I told him that it could be Azrael's sister if he had any. He didn't so he made one up. He gave me the name, Larael. After using the name multipl

I've always been a fan of taking photographs and traveling. It makes each moment of my journey and travel last longer. My primary inspiration in taking the photos that you will see in this blog is the place I'm visiting. My first travel experience was in The Grand Canyon, Arizona. Though the sights and scenery in The Grand Canyon look good at any angle, it takes a keen eye and a steady hand to capture one particular moment forever. At that time, I was inexperienced and took photos of myself or anything which was as evident as a sun setting in the west. Examples are flowers, people, food, and of course, the Grand Canyon itself. I met one Photographer who also worked at the Canyon during that time, and I saw some of his pictures posted on websites or sold as prints for postcards and T-shirts. When I saw his creative output and heard the stories of how he took them, I was amazed at the dedication and patience with taking that one single shot that makes his pictures stand o
